"I respond better to small communities." - Jenn

I realize this has nothing to do with what she was talking about, but I thought it would be interesting to discuss.

I forget which professor mentioned this, I believe it was my Business 10 and ECON 1 professors, but they said that in a survey, more people feared public speaking than death.

I personally believe I do not fall into that category, but I sure do hate public speaking. Even when in as small a space as class, when called upon to give my opinion, I begin to sweat and stutter and somehow my voice goes up one octave. Even worse, when called upon to read a passage in class. I really really hate that. Just the thought of me having to take a speech class for my GE scared the living daylights out of me, which would probably explain why I haven't even considered taking it yet.

I suppose somewhere down the line I'll have to overcome this fear, but till then, I'll try my best to sit in my cosy corner and keep to myself.
