Soldier's home.

in this story, it seems to me that Krebs had a distorted view of what army life was like on and off the battle field, and more importantly, life when one would come back from war. he left with the thought of how war would be like from stories he has heard of or read of. when he came back, i think that he didn't get the experienced or do things that he should've done according to stories, so he'd find himself playing on these stories that he'd hear. when people ask him about war, he would ramble on about these heroic lies, whereas, when confronted with a person that has been to war, in other words, another soldier. he'd find himself closed in and not as talkative as civilians because he knows that words that come out of his mouth are lies and will be figured out by fellow army men. in the end, he's tired of living a lie.

Yogurt model.

in this model, there are many factors that would come into play in order for this to work out. for instance, the group would need a ring leader because without one, the group would tend to stay fairly stale and not progessing to the "taking off" aspect of comfortness between the group members which will lead to a unsuccessful group. so idealogically, it's good thing...yogurt model, but it won't work without certain criterias and or needs to get it started.

today's wednesday of the second week of school. sadly, i didn't make it to class on monday of this week due to an abrupt appointment made by my director kathleen. the appointment was for me to come in to talk to her about my volunteering opportunity. for a second, i thought i was in trouble, when it fact, it turned out to be a conversation of promotion. i got promoted from working the escort desk to doing ER registration on tuesday and friday and doing OR registration on thursday. soon this volunteer opportunity will turn into a paying job, something to be looking forward to i guess. being that this is my first post, i thought i'd mention something interesting that happened this week, not to mention, this is a trial run to see how this blog works. well, enough for now.
