"When did Ernest Hemingway develop his 'iceberg principle' or 'theory of omission' and how has it influence American literature?"

I am testing out my thesis...if you read this, give me your opinion. Is it a viable thesis which i have space and latitude to expand on. I have written 1 page on this, and i am just beginning. So what do you think?
