Was browsing through the class' blogs when i found Bryan's response to me poem comments. Well, first of all, I must clarify that i dont have any ideal 'image' of a relationship between a man and a woman. In fact, on the contrary of what i said about the love poem, I find it ... not quite so nice. Truth be told, I'm not an optimist in a love stories, but its always nice to read such passionate or even unreal declaration of ones true feelings. So I may have overstated that the sonnet was 'true representation' but it does give a glimpse of the ideal representation of love.

Well, enough of this love topic. Its getting too touchy for me. I do agree that only with knowledge does a person have the right to judge or criticise anothers work. Thus, I have reserved that right to judge any kinda poems I have read, since I do not have sufficient knowledge of poetic structures, and inadequate reading experience with poems. So when I read a poem, I look at it from the surface, and perhaps try to go deeper(if I can), and I will be satisfied with whatever I am able to experience through my limited understanding. Thats my method of reading poems.

How i wish we were talking about math, physics or chemistry here. A discussion on such topics which i have much more extensive understanding would be much more enjoyable. When talking about english, I feel like I am treading on ice, a very thin layer I might add, but I guess there is no harm falling into the cold water beneath it anyway. So what the heck...

btw, Bry, maybe you could introduce a nice poem to me, something not too...well...hard to understand. That would be great.
